This is actually an illustration of a dance that was very popular in France during the Belle Epoche @ 1890’s. The dancer wore a costume that she could twirl in front of colored lights. There are some famous old french posters with a dancer (whose name escapes me) who performed this dance. LOVE that you had this illustration!
